All-round rescue work started after E China reservoir breach

Downpour-Triggered Embankment Failure Occurs in E China

An embankment failure occurred Thursday in Wushan village as a result of downpour-triggered internal soil erosion. The subsequent flood drowned 333 hectares of land and caused a blackout that affected 7,000 households. Some 2,300 residents have been evacuated.
