PLA Navy conducts drills in west Pacific Ocean

The South China Sea Fleet under the Navy of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) recently carries out routine open-sea training. The warships of the taskforce conducted highly-intensive and comprehensive offence-and-defense drills in the waters of the west Pacific Ocean on April 14, 2013. The PLA Navy has normalized the open-sea training and its continuous combat capability has been enhanced.The officers and men of the “Lanzhou” warship are conducting lateral replenishment training with the “Hengshui” warship.
