PLA Air Force organizes live-ammunition drill

A troop unit under the Air Force of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) organized its ground-to-air missiles to conduct live-ammunition firing drill under active jamming conditions at a shooting range in northwest China’s Gobi Desert on September 5, 2012, fully demonstrating the actual-combat capability of the ground air-defense force of the PLA Air Force. Aviation division in confrontation training

An aviation division of the air force under the Guangzhou Military Area Command (MAC) of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) organized its “Red Army” and “Blue Army” to conduct the confrontation training on September 6, 2012. The two sides carried out the training on such subjects as tactical maneuver, simulated attack and so on, in a bid to improve troops’ combat effectiveness.

GLD deploys logistics support for quake-fighting and disaster-relief

Following the occurrence of the earthquake in Yiliang of southwest China’s Yunnan province, Liao Xilong, member of Central Military Commission (CMC) and director of the General Logistics Department (GLD) of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA), made timely instructions requiring GLD leading organs and troop units to firmly implement a series of directions and requirements made by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the State Council, the CMC and President Hu Jintao and provide strong logistics support for the people in the quake-hit area as well as the disaster-relief troops.

FBC-1 fighter-bombers in drill

An aviation division under the Jinan Military Area Command of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) conducted an actual-troop and live-ammunition drill on September 4, 2012. During the drill, several missiles of a certain type were launched by the Flying Leopard warplanes (FBC-1 fighter-bombers) all hit the targets accurately.

A Glimpse of PLA first all-laser joint confrontation training of three services

3rd-generation fighters in night training
