On its way of implementing the 454th escort mission, the 11th escort taskforce under the Navy of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) conducted a mission-oriented training on May 23, 2012, aiming at upgrading the quick response capability and strengthening the escort-mission implementation capability of the special operation members.
After the helicopter took off and as it was hovering in the air, the special operation members with three as a team, each carrying tens kilos of equipment, quickly slided down along a strop from the height of 15 meters in huge whirlwind and controlled the scene. At the same time, another group of special operation members were covertly approaching the “Yantai” warship, the simulated merchant ship, by small boat.
