Lanzhou MAC holds military transportation professional skill contest

The military transportation professional skill record-breaking contest among trainingelites of the Lanzhou Military Area Command (MAC) of the Chinese People'sLiberation Army (PLA) was unveiled on June 11, 2012 in Yinchuan, capital city ofNingxia Hui Autonomous Region.
At 09:30, the contest formally started with the first item of shooting targets duringvehicle's turning and reversing. After that, other items were conducted in turn.

According to Qu Jie, director of a section of the Military Transportation Departmentunder the Lanzhou MAC, a total of 120 training elites from troop units below divisionlevel and those stationed along the transportation routes participated in the contest.They were classified into two major categories of professional skills and vehicle-drivingskills to participate in the contest respectively.

Qu Jie said the contest aims at inspecting and improving the training quality of militarytransportation and selecting, cultivating and establishing a batch of training elites in abid to promote the all-round implementation of the military-transportation training workand the steady improvement of the support capability.

The two contest items including disassembling and assembling of the tires undermaintenance without jacks and vehicle's passing through viaducts will be launched onJune 12. (China Military Online)
