China's first aircraft carrier commissioned

China’s first aircraft carrier “Liaoning Ship” was officially delivered to and has fallen in the array of the Navy of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) on the morning of September 25, 2012. It is of great significance for the PLA Navy to improve its modernization level of the comprehensive combat power and enhance its defensive operation capability, develop its capabilities of carrying out open-sea cooperation and dealing with non-traditional security threats, effectively safeguard state sovereignty, security and development interests, and promote world peace and common development.
