PLA warship formation completes joint search and rescue training in western Pacific


A warship formation under the Navy of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) organized the warship-and-helicopter joint search-and-rescue training on December 1, 2012 in a sea area of the western Pacific, in a bid to accumulate experience of warship-and-helicopter joint search-and-rescue training in open sea and effectively enhance the troop units’ capabilities of performing military operations other than war and supporting local authority’ legal rights safeguarding and law enforcement.
